Why We Love Busy Farm

At Adventure Awaits Childcare, learning through play is how we grow. One of our favorite toys for ages 3–5 is the Busy Farm by Discovery Toys. It’s bright, sturdy, and perfect for teaching colors, animals, and fine-motor coordination — all while having fun!

What’s Included

  • 1 magnetic barn board

  • 12 colorful farm animals

  • A color-matching spinner

  • Simple instructions for play

Children can match animals by color, name each animal, and even make the sounds for each one!

How to Play

  1. Place all animals in the “barnyard.”

  2. Spin the color spinner and find an animal that matches that color.

  3. Use the magnetic wand to pick it up and move it to the barn!

  4. Name the animal and say its sound together.

      Teacher Tips

      💡 Try saying:

“What color is the cow?”“Can you find something else that’s yellow?”

You can also pair it with a farm storybook or a short video of real farm animals to make it extra engaging.
